A tribute to Coronation Street, the Corrie Mailbox is as detailed and beautiful as it is rugged and durable.
Q: What are the specifications of the mailbox?
A: The Corrie Mailbox weighs a solid 2.7 kg, or six pounds. It is 15" wide, 7" tall and 3.5" deep. There are four screw holes on the back, spaced vertically at 3.5" and horizontally at 8.5".
Q: Are magazine hooks included?
A: Yes. There are two stainless steel hooks which are inserted in the bottom of the mailbox before mounting.
Q: Are mounting screws included?
A: No. There are too many different types of screws that could be used, depending on whether you are mounting on vinyl siding, clapboard siding, brick, stone or concrete. But if you have questions on which screw will work best for your home, please send us an email.
Q: What is the mailbox made of?
A: The Corrie Mailbox is constructed from 20-gauge stainless steel, with a luxurious powder-coat black finish. The artwork is printed by a sign company on exterior vinyl which we know from experience lasts a very long time.
Q: Is there a warranty?
A: Yes. The mailbox comes with a one-year manufacturer's warranty and the artwork is guaranteed against fading, blistering or any kind of deterioration for five years... but we assure you it will last longer than that.
Q: Do you ship? How much will it cost?
A: Yes, we ship all over the world from our base in Newfoundland, Canada and we charge postage at cost (that is, we do not charge extra for handling). To keep costs down, we ship parcel post (surface mail) by default. However, if you can't wait to get your mailbox, there is also an option to ship by air. Of course, postage charges depend on where in the world you live. You can find out the full price by entering your address in the shopping cart. It will will convert your currency (if applicable), add shipping and show the total, before you enter your credit card number. So you can back out with no commitment.
Q: Why are there just three houses in the middle?
A: We knew you'd ask that question! Yes, there are actually seven residences on Coronation Street, between the Rover's and Alahan's... and we would have loved to include them all. However, that would have pushed the mailbox to about 30" wide, which isn't practical or even possible. So we went with three houses: numbers 1, 7 and 9.
Q: I like the idea of this mailbox but don't watch a lot of TV. Do you have other products like this?
A: Indeed we do! We have been producing the Jellybean Row Mailbox to these same specifications - but with different artwork - since 2011. That's why we are so confident that the artwork will endure for so long. To order the Jellybean Row Mailbox, simply pop over to Jellybean Row.
Q: Is this endorsed by ITV?
A: No, the Corrie Mailbox is the TV version of fan fiction! It is created by fans, for fans. We are not affiliated in any way with the program or its broadcaster, ITV. However, we will be sending them a sample of the mailbox and we really hope they like it.
Q: Is that scoundrel Geoff Metcalfe ever going to get his comeuppance?
A: We do not know. But these things usually do come full circle - and the bad guys get their just rewards - in the fullness of time.
